Managing Director • Leonard at VINCI

Julien Villalongue

I have been Managing Director of Leonard since November 2018.
Leonard is VINCI's new Group-wide innovation and foresight platform. Set up to invent and serve the Group's future business activities, Leonard is responsible for tracking emerging trends in VINCI's business activities and markets, identifying long-term challenges and goals, pinpointing opportunities for change in the Group's businesses and organisational structure, identifying new growth drivers and developing innovative project incubation and acceleration programmes open to both Group employees and startups.

I previously held the position of project manager at the Fédération Française des Télécoms, where I dealt with security issues and fiber deployment. I managed a portfolio of public development aid projects at the French Embassy in Vietnam in the fields of water, transport and space technologies. I joined VINCI Autoroutes in 2012, where I was in charge of managing concession contracts, coordinating the definition and implementation of investment programmes and financing contracts, and providing financial management for foreign subsidiaries. Before joining Leonard, I was responsible for leading the Mobility prospective approach within VINCI Autoroutes.

As a former elected member of the Board of Governors at Centrale Nantes and of Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France, and former secretary of Centrale Nantes Alumni, I participated in the creation of Brio, a Nantes-based social outreach programme for high school students.
